Bio

Amanda Chipchase is a mission-driven arts administrator with over a decade of experience in orchestral leadership, operations, and community engagement. She currently serves as Director of Operations for the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra, where she has spent nearly ten years advancing through progressively senior roles and contributing to the organization’s artistic growth, financial stability, and community impact.

In her role, Amanda oversees complex organizational operations, supports musicians and guest artists, collaborates closely with board leadership, and helps coordinate a wide range of performances, education programs, and special initiatives. She is deeply involved in donor relations and community partnerships, bringing a relationship-centered approach to fundraising and stakeholder engagement. Her leadership is grounded in transparency, collaboration, and long-term stewardship of institutional mission.

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts with a Violin Emphasis from Colorado Mesa University, combining her administrative expertise with a lifelong connection to music and performance. She is particularly passionate about the role orchestras play as civic institutions—centers for artistic excellence, education, and community connection.

Outside of her professional work, Amanda enjoys hiking, mountain biking, camping and exploring the outdoors with her two sons, Jensen and August.
