David Cosgrove grew up in the woods of western Maine, and has been involved with music since the age of 8, starting out as a violinist. While growing up David was an active member of the BSA as an Eagle Scout, played varsity Football and Lacrosse, and was a violist with the Portland Youth Symphony Orchestra, attended the Portland String Quartet workshop for 5 years and also performed with the All State Orchestra for 3 years.
After graduating high school, David enrolled at Grove City College as a Music Major. While at the college he was principal violist of the chamber and symphony orchestras for 4 years, a member of the GCC String Quartet for 3, and student director for his senior year.
David graduated from Grove City College in May of 2017 with a B.M. in Music Business and moved to Portersville. After 2 months of working as a car salesman, David accepted the position as the Executive Director for the Butler County Symphony Association starting in August of 2017.
